Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas fractured his hand in Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the team confirmed.
As Valanciunas gathered for a dunk along the baseline in the second quarter, Kobe Bryant hit the fourth-year big man's left hand in an attempt to steal the ball. Bryant was called for the foul.
The 7-foot Lithuanian made one of his two free throws before missing a point-blank layup a couple of possessions later.
He did not return to the game after halftime.
The Raptors stated Valanciunas will undergo further tests on his hand.
