Valanciunas injured his left hand late in the second quarter Friday against the Lakers, and X-rays revealed a fracture in his fourth metacarpal bone, according to the Raptors' broadcast.

Analysis:

He'll be sent for further testing, but the initial reports aren't good. Valanciunas was fouled by Kobe Bryant going up to the rim and appeared to have his hand bent back, and remained in the locker room to begin the third quarter. Bismack Biyombo will likely step into the starting lineup while Valanciunas is sidelined, and Lucas Nogueira could be recalled from the D-League for additional depth at center as well.
