Cavs' Mozgov out 10-14 days with shoulder strain

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers' injury parade continues unabated.

The latest to hit the infirmary is center Timofey Mozgov, who has been diagnosed with a right shoulder strain and will be sidelined approximately 10-to-14 days.

Mozgov, who suffered the injury during the Cavs' win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, joins Kyrie Irving, Iman Shumpert, and Mo Williams on the shelf. Irving and Shumpert are recovering from knee and ankle surgeries, respectively, while Williams is dealing with a nagging ankle issue.

The Cavs, for all that ails them, sit atop the Eastern Conference at 9-3.

Mozgov has yet to miss a game this season, but has looked sluggish and had his playing time managed carefully after being bothered throughout the preseason by soreness in his surgically repaired right knee. He's averaging 7.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 20.8 minutes per game.

Cleveland can slide either Tristan Thompson or Anderson Varejao into the starting lineup in Mozgov's place.
