This is obviously unfortunate news for Chandler, who was initially expected to miss only a couple of weeks when he was first diagnosed with the injury. However, he failed to show much improvement with his condition, and the Nuggets determined it was necessary for Chandler to go under the knife to resolve the issue. The extra minutes Gary Harris and Will Barton have been receiving early on this season will now likely become permanent with Chandler out of the picture for the long haul.
