There were seven games on the NBA hardwood Sunday. Here's what you need to know:

Game of the Night

Two of the top young talents in basketball met on the hardwood at Madison Square Garden in New York, as Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans squared off with Kristaps Porzingis and the New York Knicks.

Davis, the No. 1 overall pick in 2012, playing in his first game since sitting out back-to-back contests with a bruised right hip, racked up 36 points and 11 rebounds to go with four blocks. Porzingis, this year's No. 4 overall pick, managed only 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting, but the Knicks still belong to Carmelo Anthony, who paced the squad with 29 points and 13 boards in a 95-87 victory.

Performance of the Night

The Toronto Raptors didn't have an answer for DeMarcus Cousins on Sunday. It didn't take long for Boogie to get rolling, as he finished the first quarter with 14 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, while shooting 2-of-3 from 3-point range.

Cousins finished the game with 36 points and 10 rebounds, filling out his stat line with three assists, three blocks, and a steal in a 107-101 victory. It was just another day at the office for Cousins, who's averaging 36.3 points and 10.7 boards on the Kings' current three-game winning streak.

Quote of the Night

The Memphis Grizzlies finally broke out of an offensive funk in a 114-106 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 52.9 percent from beyond the arc.

"We know we're shooters," Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley said after the game. "We've been in this league a long time and we've made our names with what we do, so we just have to stay aggressive, stay confident and tonight we finally saw some go in."
