Hawks' Teague out vs. Jazz with ankle sprain
The Atlanta Hawks will be without their starting point guard when they host the Utah Jazz on Sunday, as Jeff Teague will sit due to a left ankle sprain.
Teague suffered the injury in the second quarter against the Boston Celtics on Friday. He remained in the game, but struggled the rest of the way, finishing with just six points and three assists while posting a minus-13 rating. It was the first game this season in which he didn't reach double-digit scoring.
Asked after the game if his ankle was OK, Teague answered, "Hell no. Nope," according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Teague's averaging a career-best 17.1 points, to go along with 6.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season. Dennis Schroder will start in his place.
