With his team down four points with just 14 seconds remaining in the game, Portland Trail Blazers All-Star point guard Damian Lillard looked to cut into the Denver Nuggets' lead by connecting on a layup at the Pepsi Center.
Cue the rookie.
Emmanuel Mudiay, the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, came up big with a pivotal defensive play, blocking "Big Game Dame" off the backboard after he ran the full length of the floor.
Denver held on to defeat the Trail Blazers 108-104 for their third win of the season.
