LeBron: Kevin Love's the focal point of Cavaliers' offense

With LeBron James minding his workload this season, the fate of the Cleveland Cavaliers' offense rests on Kevin Love's shoulders.

Love poured in 17 points and 13 rebounds in Cleveland's victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, and James said his team needs more of that.

"He's the focal point of us offensively," James told ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "I know I can go out and get mine when I need it. But I need Kev to be as aggressive as he was tonight, and when he rebounds at the level he did tonight, the shots will automatically fall for him."

Love opened the season with a discouraging performance against the Chicago Bulls. He scored 18 points, but shot just 6-of-17 from the floor while he was thoroughly outplayed by his counterpart Nikola Mirotic.

The 26-year-old Love rebounded Wednesday against another difficult opponent in Zach Randolph. Love played his signature style of an inside-out attack, stretching Randolph thin trying to guard between the paint and the 3-point line.

Last season, Love settled in as an awkward third option behind James and Kyrie Irving. Having surrendered the eventual Rookie of the Year in Andrew Wiggins to get him, Love was perceived as a disappointment as his numbers dipped across the board.

However, with James already nursing a bad back and Irving on the shelf with a knee injury, it's Love's turn to shine. While the UCLA alumnus made the most sacrifices and adjustments last season - including a lack of touches in the post - James said the team will cater to Love's needs this time around.

"We'll use Kevin however he wants to be used," James said. "I told you Kevin is going to be our main focus. He's going to have a hell of a season. He's going to get back to that All-Star status."
