Kings waive David Stockton; reward last roster spot to Eric Moreland

The Sacramento Kings waived point guard David Stockton, the team announced Thursday. By doing so, the Kings rewarded their 15th and final roster spot to power forward Eric Moreland.
Stockton signed a non-guaranteed contract with Sacramento in the spring, after his initial 10-day deal expired.
The son of Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton, he played three games for the Kings last season after averaging 20.1 points and 9.4 assists per contest for the D-League's Reno Bighorns.
Like Stockton, Moreland also played in three games for the Kings last year, scoring two points and grabbing a rebound. He was sidelined for most of the campaign with a shoulder injury, and Sacramento waived the big man in July before bringing him back in August.
