Tyreke Evans: Expected out 4-to-6 weeks

Evans (knee) is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, John Reid of the New Orleans Times Picayune reports.

Analysis:

After undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday morning, Evans received a timetable Wednesday for his recovery from the procedure, which now puts him on track to sit out at least the first few weeks of the regular season. For what it's worth, coach Alvin Gentry said he's hopeful that Evans can beat the proposed timetable, but given the myriad knee issues the guard has dealt with throughout his career, Gentry might be a tad optimistic. In Evans' absence, Nate Robinson could all see increased playing time as the Pelicans' top guard off the bench.
