Cavs' Love will play Sunday, first game action in almost 6 months
Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love will suit up and play in Sunday's preseason game against the Toronto Raptors, coach David Blatt told reporters Friday.
Love has only been practicing with the Cavaliers for the past week. However, he hasn't played in an NBA game since Game 4 of Cleveland's Eastern Conference quarterfinal against the Boston Celtics, when he dislocated his left shoulder in a tangle with Boston's Kelly Olynyk.
Blatt also told reporters Wednesday that LeBron James may not play again this preseason, after the superstar received an anti-inflammatory injection in his back earlier this week.
Cleveland has two preseason games left, coming on a back-to-back: on Sunday in Toronto, and then Monday at home against the Dallas Mavericks. Their regular season opens on Oct. 27.
