Blake Griffin is one of the most well-conditioned players in the NBA, but the 6-foot-10, 250-pounder won't allow complacency to overtake his preseason workout regimen.

On Monday, the first installment of Griffin's new web series, "The Crossover," was released, featuring the Los Angeles Clippers forward putting his athleticism to the test in various non-basketball-related sports.

In the debut episode, the 26-year-old Oklahoman is introduced to handball by New York City legend Timbo Gonzalez.

At one point, Griffin and Gonzalez wear vests fastened to the court's fence with resistance bands.

The two engage in a game to 21, as Griffin - panting and drenched in sweat - employs his strength and hand-eye coordination.

The motive for such dynamic training techniques, according to the five-time All-Star: "I want to be quicker, be stronger and I want to be a leader.

"I want a long and healthy career."
