Tyson Chandler (back) won't play Tuesday versus the rockets, Craig Grialou of 98.7 FM reports.

Chandler will miss Tuesday's preseason game against the Rockets with lower-back spasms, Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Analysis:

Coach Jeff Hornacek noted that Chandler's injury isn't a serious one, but with the Suns still in the midst of the preseason, the club won't take any unnecessary risks by playing the center. It will be interesting to see how many minutes the Suns plan on playing Chandler this season, as the team still has a promising developmental big man on hand in Alex Len, who could make a case for more minutes. Chandler is coming off a solid season in Dallas, during which he posted averages of 10.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 30.5 minutes per contest.
