Only 45 seconds elapsed before the first points of the NBA season were scored.

During the opening stanza of the league's first preseason game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets, new addition Paul Pierce gathered a loose ball as he initiated the fast break.

Trailing "The Truth" near center court was none other than the leader in total dunks last season: DeAndre Jordan.

Jordan, who led the league in 2014-15 with 252 rim-rattlers, christened the Clippers' newly re-branded court with the two-handed flush.

Although this particular dunk doesn't count toward his regular-season tally, it was a welcome sight for basketball-starved fans everywhere.
