Jackson is being held out of Sixers training camp practices due to a groin injury, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Jackson sustained the groin ailment during the summer and apparently hasn't fully recovered quite yet. While the setback isn't a major one, it's not a welcome development after Jackson missed his entire rookie season after tearing his right Achilles in the 2014 Orlando Summer League. Jackson has since gotten over that injury, but any further nicks in training camp may derail his chances of claiming a roster spot. When healthy, the 5-foot-10 Jackson brings plenty of scoring ability to the table, though his bad luck on the health front during his brief professional career has repeatedly left him unable to showcase those skills.
