Kevin Durant's all-time starting 5: Magic, Kobe, MJ, Duncan, Shaq
Kevin Durant is visiting Madrid this weekend to promote his new Nike KD VIII shoes and caught up with NBA Maniacs to discuss his all-time starting five.
In the interview, which was published in Spanish, Durant named a star-studded, Los Angeles Laker-heavy unit.
- PG Magic Johnson
- SG Kobe Bryant
- SF Michael Jordan
- PF Tim Duncan
- C Shaquille O'Neal
It's tough to quibble with Durant's squad, which totals 26 championship rings between the five. Magic is quite possibly the best point guard of all time, the Bryant-Jordan combination is an incredible scoring duo, Duncan is the best power forward ever, and Shaq, in his prime, was simply unstoppable.
The only thing that could have split up this team? Petty infighting between Kobe and Shaq, or Kobe and Michael.
Durant also named Larry Bird and Karl Malone as borderline cuts. They would have replaced Bryant and Duncan, respectively, on Durant's hypothetical team.
