VIDEO: Klay Thompson fails at Go-Karting; admits 'Cheaters never prosper'

To say Klay Thompson has been having a good summer would be an understatement.

Fresh off his Warriors' championship run, the 25-year-old sharpshooter has been making the rounds with stops at the Drew League and Team USA's minicamp in Las Vegas.

All the while, the four-year pro has made time to multi-task and praise his athletically superior brother.

On Wednesday, Thompson tried his hand at Go-Karting while on tour in China. Everything was on track (pun intended) until he engaged in cardinal sin No. 1 of small-car-racing: going off-road.

I'm a very competitive person and I learned a very valuable lesson today: cheaters never prosper #ThoughtitwasWarioStadium #KoopaTroopaShortcut #lightskindjeffgordon

Thompon's not-so-sneaky maneuver backfires magnificently, as his vehicle stalls on the grass, making it look like he's riding a John Deere lawnmower.

It seems that one of the league's purest shooters came away from the debacle somewhat wiser, stating: "I'm a very competitive person and I learned a very valuable lesson today: Cheaters never prosper."
