Amar'e Stoudemire mistaken for Heat teammate Chris Bosh at elementary school

Amar'e Stoudemire has yet to see his first minutes of action with the Miami Heat after signing a one-year deal this summer, which could explain why some school children in South Beach haven't figured out who he is yet.

During an appearance at Dillard Elementary on Monday, one of the more popular questions Stoudemire was asked was whether he was Heat All-Star Chris Bosh.

"That's all the kids were saying," Stoudemire said, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman.

"They're so used to those guys. I mean Bosh has been here for years and won championships. So these kids, when they see someone 6-10, they think of Chris Bosh."

Stoudemire, 32, is slated to begin the upcoming season as the primary backup to starters Bosh and Hassan Whiteside. That's probably for the best, as giving "STAT" too many minutes alongside Bosh in the frontcourt would just confuse Miami's youth even more.
