VIDEO: Stephen Jackson buries Kobe's short-lived rap career: 'It was horrible'
Five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, an NBA Most Valuable Player award in 2008, 17 All-Star appearances, two scoring titles ... and one awful attempt as a rapper.
That just about sums up the career of one Kobe "Bean" Bryant, who released a single in 2000 called "Kobe" with model/singer Tyra Banks.

Stephen Jackson - who recently retired from the NBA after 14 seasons - knows his way around the rap game, dropping tracks left and right over the years. His favorite rappers from the league are Lou Williams, Damian Lillard, and Marquis Daniels. Though, what does Jackson think about "The Black Mamba" and his rapping skills?
"It was horrible," Jackson said to TMZ about Bryant's short stint at spittin' lyrics. "They didn't take it serious.
"They just did it because they were stars. I think you can put me in front of any rapper and I can hold my own," Jackson adds. "That's why I go so hard at it, because I'm showing everybody that it ain't just because I got money. I really can rap, and I've been really doing it for a long time."
