Gerald Green: Lands In Miami

Green signed a one-year contract with the Heat on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Green will transition from a bench role with the Suns to a bench role with the Heat, backing up the likes of Goran Dragic and Mario Chalmers. He played in 74 games with Phoenix last season, but averaged nearly nine less minutes per game than in 2013-14, resulting in a slight dip in his scoring (11.9 PPG) and rebounding (2.5 RPG) numbers. He seems poised for a similar role in 2015-16.
