With all the bad blood surrounding George Karl this summer, it's probably best for management to make a small concession to the meddling Sacramento Kings head coach.

Karl has long been an advocate for veteran point guard Andre Miller, who is reportedly interested in returning for a 17th season. The Kings traded for Miller last season, and a return could be in the works.

Divac is in Las Vegas for Summer League, which is where Rui Thomas of Cowbell Kingdom caught up with the Kings' vice president of basketball operations.

"We had some talks, yeah," Divac said of relations with Miller. "But again, I want to improve at every position from last year. So I think with things that’s going to happen on Monday, I think we did a pretty good job."

The 39-year-old Miller performed reasonably well with the Kings last season. He played 30 games off the bench, averaging 5.7 points and 4.7 assists in 20.7 minutes per game.

At this point in his career, Miller won't be changing his game. He loves playing in the post and is a willing passer. He's also a solid veteran presence and should give Karl at least one ally in his locker room.

However, should Miller return, he would likely function as the third-string point guard. The Kings signed Rajon Rondo this summer and have already forgotten Darren Collison on their roster.
