Dr. J will not make a repeat performance at the draft lottery this year.

Philadelphia 76ers CEO Scott O'Neil said via text message that Julius Erving will miss the chance to represent the organization at the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery on May 19 because he will be in China, according to The Intelligencer's Tom Moore.

The former Sixers veteran turned special adviser for the team represented Philadelphia at last year's draft lottery, where he admitted to being a little bit confused when the 76ers received the 10th pick as a result of the Jrue Holiday trade with the New Orleans Pelicans during the previous summer.

According to Moore's report, Philadelphia's management team is still discussing who to send to the event.

The 76ers are guaranteed a top-six pick after ending the season with a dismal 18-64 record - the league's third-worst. Philadelphia is also owed the Los Angeles Lakers' pick if it lands outside of the top five.
