This isn't what Jay Z envisioned when he used to dream about playoff basketball in Brooklyn.
That was the scene at Barclays Center about 20 minutes before tipoff of Game 3 between the hometown Nets and the top-seeded Atlanta Hawks.
The Nets having to compete with the New York Yankees, New York Mets and New York (soon-to-be Brooklyn) Islanders all playing on Saturday doesn't help, but neither does the fact that they're a pretty unlikable team with little hope for the immediate future.
A mediocre team with a tepid fan base is a recipe for some pretty dull crowds, which is nothing new for Nets home playoff games.
