Mavs' Parsons still questionable for Game 1 against Rockets

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

It's a series where a lot of the subplot surrounds him, but Dallas Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons is still listed as questionable for Game 1 Saturday against his former Houston Rockets squad.

The right knee injury that cost him the last six games of the regular season is the culprit. Point guard Devin Harris, who has a toe injury, is also questionable.

In addition to being a guy who helped fuel a war of words between Rockets GM Daryl Morey and Mavs owner Mark Cuban, Parsons came into his own at times this season on the pick-and-roll and occasional facilitator, and you can bet he'll want to play his old team. After he left, Rockets star James Harden essentially called him a role player while Parsons lamented the lack of cleanliness of downtown Houston.

Parsons averaged 15.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this season.
