Bryant (shoulder) has started weight training, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Bryant seems to be on track for a full return sometime this summer while being fully ready for the start of 2015-16. The veteran managed to play in 35 games this season and was a viable option across all formats during that time on the court. The area of concern looking ahead for Bryant is what kind of rest regime he'll be restricted to over the course of next season under coach Byron Scott. The first-season skipper admitted that he played Bryant too often in the early goings this past year and that mistake may ultimately cause him to be weary of playing Bryant extended minutes in the future. Either way, Bryant's inability to play a full season since 2012-13 and the fact that Scott will be quick to rest the veteran makes Bryant a risky player to own heading into next season.
