Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin will miss the remainder of the season.
Lin missed consecutive games Wednesday and Friday because of a sore left knee. An MRI on his knee showed a cartilage abnormality, but it wasn't considered serious, according to the Los Angeles Times' Mike Bresnahan.
The cartilage abnormality is consistent with what's expected after a surgery like Lin's 2012 knee procedure. Lakers coach Byron Scott declined to talk about Lin's long-term future with the team.
Lin finishes this season averaging 11.2 points, 4.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds.
