Thibodeau suggests Rose may be ahead of schedule

Mike DiNovo / USA Today Sports

Some good news came out of the Chicago Bulls' practice facility in the shadow of the United Center on Tuesday. Potentially, some very good news.

Derrick Rose was a partial participant in practice and coach Tom Thibodeau said afterwards the franchise point guard is doing well in his recovery from his latest knee surgery.

Thibodeau told reporters that Rose is into his next phase of rehab, doing non-contact activities, following the meniscectomy on his right knee.

The four-to-six week recovery timetable given to Rose after the procedure on Feb. 27 would put his potential return anywhere from a week from Saturday to the last three games of the regular season.

The Bulls also saw Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson practice fully on Tuesday, with Thibodeau calling it a "very good day" for all three injured players.
