Drummond's 20/20 vision not enough as Warriors win

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors matched their win total from last season with a 105-98 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

The 51 wins is the second-most in Warriors franchise history - the team record, 55, was set in 1991-92 and will almost certainly be shattered this season. Klay Thompson picked up the slack from a rare Steph Curry off night, leading the Dubs with 27 points. Curry was held to nine points on 4-of-15 shooting.

Andre Drummond was an absolute beast for the Pistons, scoring 22 points and grabbing a career-high 27 rebounds - including a ridiculous 17 on the offensive glass. It was Drummond's second 20-point, 20-rebound game this season and the fourth of his career.

It was also all for naught as the Pistons lost their eighth straight game. Detroit is 1-8 since acquiring point guard Reggie Jackson from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
