Spurs' Duncan, Ginobili unlikely to miss additional time

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Tim Duncan is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's marquee matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Duncan had to leave to waning moments of Tuesday's win over the Toronto Raptors after hyperextending his left elbow. The Spurs didn't believe the injury would keep him sidelined for any length of time, and it appears Duncan will be in uniform to help the Spurs attempt to extend their winning streak to seven games.

San Antonio has reeled off six straight to leapfrog the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. The hot stretch has the Spurs a half-game behind the Los Angeles Clippers for fifth in the West and within striking distance of securing homecourt in the first round of the playoffs.

Duncan is averaging 14.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 58 games.

San Antonio's Manu Ginobili is also likely to return from a one-game absence. Ginobili, averaging 11.6 points and 4.5 assists in 23.9 minutes, missed Tuesday's victory with an illness.
