Wade on sitting out Friday: 'Ain't no injury'

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat failed to come away with a win Friday against the Washington Wizards, but at least they shouldn't have to worry about Dwyane Wade's health.

Wade was a last-minute scratch before the Heat's 99-97 defeat in D.C., with the team citing a sore right hip. Luol Deng also missed the contest with a thigh contusion. Afterwards, Wade said he's not hurt and needed a rest night.

Some Heat fans may have an issue with that given Deng's absence. Miami fell to ninth in the East standings with Friday's loss and wins by both the Hornets and Pacers. The lack of Heat bodies was compounded when Goran Dragic left the game in the third quarter due to a back contusion.

With those absences, the Heat's comeback from a 35-point deficit to make the game interesting was all the more remarkable.

With the status of Deng and Dragic uncertain for Saturday against the Sacramento Kings, it's probably safe to say Wade will suit up.
