Thunder GM on Durant's foot: 'He's not at risk, but he is sore'

Kevin Durant watched from the sidelines as the Oklahoma City Thunder put the finishing touches on a convincing win over the Dallas Mavericks

But it appears Durant was absent for the final minutes due to his surgically repaired right foot and not because of the double-digit lead the Thunder had on Dallas.

Durant was limping and changed shoes multiple times during the 104-89 win as he was reportedly experiencing discomfort in the same foot that he fractured prior to the start of the season, forcing him to miss the team's first 17 games.

The reigning MVP has been bothered by the foot on and off since returning, but has put up his customary All-Star numbers when he's been on the court. And while it's a scary thought any time Durant appears to be hurt - as he has missed over half the team's games this season - Thunder general manager Sam Presti doesn't believe it's anything serious and just typical soreness affiliated with the injury.

"He's not at risk, but he is sore," Presti said after the game, according to Royce Young of ESPN

Durant entered Thursday averaging 25.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and four assists over 33.7 minutes per game.

Thursday's win moved the Thunder into eighth place in the Western Conference and extended their winning streak to four games.

Oklahoma City acquired Enes Kanter and D.J. Augustin as part of a three-team deal Thursday in an effort to get stronger for its playoff push. The Thunder sent guard Reggie Jackson to the Detroit Pistons in the deal.
