Nuggets' challenges forcing Shaw to rap, read books about millenials

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

There was a time not that long ago when Brian Shaw was considered a hot commodity as an NBA head coaching candidate.

Less than two full seasons into his stewardship of the Denver Nuggets however, he's taken his share of criticism for the 55-79 record – and 13 losses in their last 14 games – the team has posted in that time going into Tuesday's contest.

Having said that, it's clear Shaw is trying. Maybe a little too hard.

During Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, TNT's Rachel Nichols reported about Shaw's latest coaching tactics.

Brian Shaw noooooo

To be clear, Nichols said Shaw has taken to reading books on how to relate to millenials, the generation of people who happen to constitute his roster.

Keep in mind this guy will apparently do anything to motivate his players. This includes experimenting with getting rid of shootaround to going so far as to rapping a pregame personnel report.

Now before you ridicule Shaw for rapping like a silly parent trying to be cool, keep in mind he has some '90s street cred. His actual track is below.

Oh, and he also reportedly once dated Madonna. So yes, he's old.
