Report: All-Star Game up in the air for Pelicans' Davis due to shoulder sprain

The chances that Anthony Davis will play in this weekend's All-Star Game will likely depend on whether he suits up for the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers, according to a report by ESPN's Marc Stein.

Davis is listed by the team as questionable for the contest after missing Monday's loss to the Utah Jazz. The all-world power forward suffered a Grade 1 joint sprain in his shoulder after a nasty fall against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

However, according to Stein, it is doubtful Davis will play against the Pacers. The All-Star call conflicts with a report by FOX Sports' Jennifer Hale on Monday, which said Davis intends to depart as scheduled for the festivities in New York on Thursday.

"He's real sore," Pelicans coach Monty Williams told Hale Monday, and added that team trainers will follow a three-step process to get Davis back on the floor.
