VIDEO: Brook Lopez double-clutches a set shot

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Brook Lopez is on fire of late.

After dropping 18 points on the red-hot Atlanta Hawks last week, Lopez scored 35 in an overtime loss to the Toronto Raptors, shooting a torrid 21-of-39 across those two games.

He's hot enough that he's now adding tricks to his repertoire, hitting some truly ridiculous shots. To wit, Lopez hit this double-clutch set shot against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday - a shot that has no business being attempted, let alone going in.

BROOK LOPEZ IS HITTING EVERYTHING

While the Brooklyn Nets center is a great interior offensive weapon and entered play shooting 50 percent on the season, it goes without saying that the Clippers are fine with him taking those kind of shots. Lopez is shooting 40.2 percent on twos outside of 16 feet - a decent clip, but a fair result for a defense.

Still, when you close out that well, that's not exactly the result you're hoping for.
