VIDEO: Kevin Love booed in return to Minnesota

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

It didn't take Kevin Love long to get sweet, sweet, temporary revenge on the Minnesota Timberwolves fans who booed him Saturday.

And boo they did, as Love had expected all along. Playing in his first game back in Minnesota since essentially forcing his way out of town and to the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason, Love was booed heartily upon being introduced before the game, though a smattering of clappers made themselves heard as well.

Love got a quick laugh on Wolves fans, promptly scoring the game's first basket. He's likely to get the last short-term laugh, too, with the Cavs suddenly surging and looking like the team everyone expected when Love paired up with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Andrew Wiggins - the player the Wolves got in return for Love - has the future looking bright in a potential win-win scenario, and the Minnesota faithful made their support of Wiggins known with a loud ovation upon his own introduction. And then he did this, thanking them in earnest:

AND THE WOLVES WIN THE TRADE IT IS DECIDED
