Raps have no trouble with Timberwolves

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

When the Minnesota Timberwolves met the Raptors in Toronto two weeks ago for Andrew Wiggins' homecoming, the result was a competitive game.

But things were a lot more one-sided Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

With both teams battling injuries, the Raps rolled the Wolves 113-99. All-Star Kyle Lowry missed his fourth consecutive contest with a sore back for the Raptors, while Ricky Rubio and Kevin Garnett missed their eighth and 14th straight games, respectively, for the Wolves.

Leading scorer Kevin Martin also sat for the fifth straight time.

Toronto won with a balanced attack, as four of five starters scored in double figures. Two nights after dropping a career-high 42 points, DeMar DeRozan led the Raps with 17. Amir Johnson added eight points, four rebounds and six assists.

In the spirit of the Raptors' blowout, rookie Bruno Caboclo saw fourth-quarter action.

Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves with 25 points.
