LeBron James and Klay Thompson have been named Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 19-25, the NBA announced Monday.

James averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 4-0 week and capture the weekly award for a third time already this season.

The Cavs, who have won six straight to climb to 25-20, are 1-9 without James, who was named an All-Star starter last week.

Thompson, who also captured his third weekly award of the season and second in the last three weeks, averaged 33 points, 3.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals in helping the league-leading Golden State Warriors to a 4-0 week.

The highlight, of course, was Thompson's 52-point performance in Friday's victory over the Sacramento Kings, which included an NBA-record 37-point third quarter.

Thompson is expected to earn his first career All-Star nod when the coaches' selections are announced on Thursday.
