LeBron misses practice Tuesday with the flu

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

LeBron James did not practice Tuesday with the Cleveland Cavaliers due to what the team called flu-like symptoms.

The Cavs are not placing a status on James for Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz, saying he will be re-evaluated after shootaround.

James has been on a mission since returning from a two-week absence to rest nagging knee and back injuries. He's averaging 31.8 points on 52 percent shooting in four games, seven rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.5 steals in four games since being inserted back into the starting lineup on Jan. 13 in Phoenix.

The Cavs, who lost seven of eight games James sat out between Dec. 30 and Jan. 11, are 3-1 since LeBron's return, and sit fifth in the Eastern Conference at 22-20 as of Tuesday night. Momentum seems back on their side after a rough two-week stretch, and losing James for any period of time again will be disastrous for the fragile club, even for one game.

Cleveland hosts Utah on Wednesday, Charlotte on Friday, and Oklahoma City on Sunday afternoon.
