Grizzlies' Conley returns from ankle injury in loss to Mavericks
Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports
Mike Conley showed little rust Monday after missing two games with a right ankle sprain. But his 22-point effort wasn't enough to lift the Memphis Grizzlies past the Dallas Mavericks.
Monta Ellis scored 25 points and dished out seven assists to propel the Mavericks to a 103-95 victory at FedEXForum in Memphis.
Conley logged 30 minutes and his 22 points represented a team high. The point guard shot 7-of-16 from the field and added four assists in the loss.
Assuming his ankle checked out fine following the contest, Conley will look to help Memphis get back on track Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors.
