Report: Heat have shown interest in Nets' Lopez
It's no secret that Brook Lopez hasn't been one of Lionel Hollins's favorite players, and when you consider his injury history and $16.7-million player option for next season, it wouldn't be a surprise to learn that the 16-22 Brooklyn Nets are looking to move the big man.
The Nets are talking to rival teams about Lopez, ESPN New York's Ohm Youngmisuk reported Wednesday, adding that the Miami Heat have shown a strong interest in the former All-Star.
The Heat recently leapfrogged the Nets at the bottom of the East playoff standings, and are in the midst of a disappointing season for a veteran team themselves.
It's unclear who the Heat would consider sending to Brooklyn in any potential deals for Lopez.
Lopez, 26, is averaging 14.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 26 minutes per game.
