Pelicans' Holiday left game vs. Celtics, did not return
Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports
The New Orleans Pelicans will be hoping whatever's wrong with point guard Jrue Holiday's ankle isn't too serious.
Holiday left Monday's game in Boston against the Celtics just before halftime with what the team called right ankle inflammation. He did not return. Holiday missed 48 games last season with a stress fracture in his right leg.
The fifth-year UCLA product is averaging 15.5 points, 7.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season.
