Magic's Frye will not return after spraining elbow

Orlando center Channing Frye will not return Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets after sustaining a sprained right elbow, the Magic announced.

Frye managed to log 13 minutes played before leaving the game during halftime.

The sharpshooting Frye is averaging 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds while sinking 42 percent of his 3-point tries. As the Magic's lone floor-stretching big, Frye's shooting ability has helped open up space on the interior for the Magic's drivers and post-up players to operate.

Backup power forward Kyle O'Quinn should see more playing time in Frye's absence.
