Wilson Chandler playing through quad bruise Thursday

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The quad contusion that kept Wilson Chandler out of the second half of Tuesday's game isn't serious enough to sideline the Denver Nuggets small forward any longer.

Chandler will suit up Thursday as the Nuggets take on the Chicago Bulls. That continues Chandler's season-long ironman streak, a minor surprise given his spotty track record of staying on the floor. He managed just 17 minutes on Tuesday but should be good for his regular workload Thursday.

In 32 games, Chandler is averaging 14.3 points and six rebounds in 31.1 minutes, shooting just 41.8 percent from the floor but 35.4 percent from long range. That's more or less in line with what's come to be expected of him, as he's averaged 13.7 points and 5.2 rebounds over 399 career games.

A solid but unspectacular two-way player, Chandler's name has come up in trade rumors as analysts speculate if the Nuggets will try to clean up their mess of a team by making a deal. He has one year and $7.2 million remaining on his contract after this season, so he represents a decent option to teams in need of wing help who don't want to tie up cap space into the summer of 2016.
