Mavericks' Ellis left game vs. Thunder with apparent ankle injury

Jerome Miron / USA Today Sports

The Dallas Mavericks escaped with a 112-107 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night, but they may have more pressing concerns.

Late in the fourth quarter, Mavericks shooting guard Monta Ellis landed awkwardly after going up for a floater, and, after staying down in obvious pain for several minutes, had to be helped to his feet.

He walked off the floor very gingerly, and went to the locker room with an apparent ankle injury. He did not return.

More to come.
