VIDEO: David Lee gets ovation in return to Warriors
Missing all but seven minutes of the Golden State Warriors' 22-3 start to the season due to a hamstring strain cost David Lee his spot in the starting lineup.
It did not cost him his spot in the hearts of Warriors fans, who rocked Oracle Arena on Monday when Lee checked in for the first time since Nov. 5. Lee was given quite the ovation, leading him to tap his chest to the crowd in appreciation.
It must have been a great feeling for the power forward, who has had a frustrating year, returning from injury only to be hurt immediately and get put back on the shelf. His return comes at a great time, with center Andrew Bogut sidelined and the team rendered thin in the frontcourt.
You can read more about the on-court impact of Lee's return and his move to a bench role in the storyline below.
