Hornets' Stephenson out Friday, possibly Saturday with pelvic sprain

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Charlotte Hornets guard Lance Stephenson, dealing with a pelvic sprain sustained in Wednesday's loss to the Phoenix Suns, has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and isn't expected to play Saturday vs. the Utah Jazz either.

Stephenson has been the subject of trade rumors this month, as free agents signed this summer are now eligible to be traded and the enigmatic guard has gotten off to a disappointing start for the 6-19 Hornets.

Stephenson is averaging 10.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists through 25 games, shooting just 38 percent from the field and an abysmal 15 percent from 3-point range.
