Report: Knicks' Anthony threatened to beat up teammate Hardaway Jr.

The New York Knicks are starting to turn on each other.

Marred in a nine-game losing streak and off to their worst start in franchise history, players are reportedly getting sick of one another and the team's offensive system.

During a recent game, second-year guard Tim Hardaway Jr. apparently let out some frustration and yelled "Get the rebound" which star Carmelo Anthony believed was directed at him, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

Anthony is alleged to have approached Hardaway after and let him have it verbally before threatening to beat him up in the locker room following the game. The two have apparently not been fond of each other dating back to Hardaway's rookie season last year.

Their disagreements are said to be over the same thing. Each player believes the other doesn't play enough defense, while being too trigger-happy on offense. Only Anthony is taking more shots on the Knicks than Hardaway per 100 possessions.

Other Knicks players are said to be dissatisfied with Anthony's style of play, too, which has often been criticized for being too selfish.

Further, many on the team are reportedly less than thrilled about the triangle offense being run by first-year head coach Derek Fisher. The 4-19 Knicks have the slowest pace in the game as a result of the system and players feel their offensive sets have become too predictable.

To make matters worse for the Knicks, Anthony - the team's leading scorer - may be forced to take some time off as he deals with an issue in his left knee.
