Tip-off is coming up shortly, so if you're planning on using Ellis in daily games, it might be better to go with a more certain option. Ellis is a gamer, but the Mavericks are a class organization that isn't going to put him in position to injure himself further. If he sits, Devin Harris would likely get more run, but most of the minutes would likely get spread out amongst the Mavs' wing depth.
