Earl Clark won't be joining Lakers, reportedly headed to China

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

It seems as though the Los Angeles Lakers won't be bringing Earl Clark aboard after all.

Despite having been granted two injury exceptions by the NBA, Clark won't be a Lakers addition because he's in the process of signing with the Shandong Lions in China, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

The Lakers auditioned Clark in recent weeks. He played for L.A. in 2012-13, starting 36 games. In 59 total appearances, he averaged 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds.
