Report: 'Very possible' Nets trade Kirilenko to Jazz

Andrei Kirilenko could soon be headed back where his NBA journey began 13 years ago.

A source told Jody Genessy of the Deseret News that it's "very possible" the Brooklyn Nets will trade the 33-year-old forward to the Utah Jazz, who drafted him 24th overall in 1999, and who Kirilenko played for from 2001 to 2011.

ESPN's Marc Stein mentioned the possibility of the trade last month, reporting that in return for Kirilenko, the Jazz would ship little-used reserves in forward Jeremy Evans and guard Toure’ Murry to Brooklyn.

That particular deal couldn’t be consummated until Dec. 15 at the earliest, when players signed in the offseason become eligible to be traded. The Jazz signed Murry to a two-year deal in August.

Kirilenko, who struggled mightily in his first stint with the Nets last year, has scored just three points in 36 total minutes this season. He's been on a leave of absence from the team since Nov. 21 for personal reasons.
